During the current Covid pandemic to ensure patient and staff safety we have had to change how we make appointments.
Over the years we have always used phone advice for patients and during the Covid pandemic this has been retained with call back consultations. We have added secure video link consultation where this is suitable, for example to look at a rash, check on eyes or look at an injury, before seeing a patient here in the surgery if necessary.
We continue to see patients here in the surgery. Part of Covid prevention involves spending the least amount of “face to face time” by using a combination of phone, video and surgery consultation where suitable we can follow this safety guideline. We have adjusted our surgery in light of the Covid pandemic to make appointments safer, with hand sanitising points at all doors for use on entry and exit. We have added a new consulting room and reduced our patient seating area in line with Covid safety guidelines.
We now ask patients to phone when they reach the surgery as they wait in a car or outside. For phone consultations where we are unable to reach you we may text you advising that we have been trying to ring you or after two unanswered calls from the surgery the text may ask you to ring back to reschedule your appointment.

When you are making an appointment the conversation includes a COVID questionnaire and we may ask for information to help us schedule appointments.
Please phone the surgery before leaving home if you are dealing with an emergency patient.
It is the policy of this practice to allow the patient time to fully consult with the Doctor. Every effort is made to deal with patients on time, however this is not always possible due to emergencies. Please remember you may be in need of extra attention yourself at some time.[/kswr_heading][kswr_lineseparator ls_height=”0″ ls_color=”{“type“:“color“,“color1“:“#dddddd“,“color2“:“#333“,“direction“:“to left“}” ls_alignement=”left” ls_style=”from-center” ls_width=”50px” ls_margins=”margin-top:20px;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0px;margin-right:0px;”]
